What’s New: Clinique Redness Solutions Instant Relief Mineral Powder & Spring Collection

Ladies plagued by sensitive, red skin can seek relief from Clinique’s new Redness Solutions Instant Relief Mineral Powder! While Benefit has a similar product (Buff Dust) that will buffer the redness, this one will supposedly provide a more skin soothing relief than just skin tone correction.

What it is:

“Unique mineral treatment measurably reduces redness on contact. It’s lab-certified. Under its care and cover, visible redness and broken capillaries virtually disappear—instantly and for hours. Patent-pending formula helps skin “keep its cool.” Oil-free, talc-free. With anti-bacterial brush. Appropriate for skins with mild-to-moderate persistent or reactive redness.”

Since it is talc free, at least it won’t dry out your skin like most powders would. For CAD$39.50 you get 24 grams worth, it is quite a steal, compared to many mineral powders.

The Spring 2009 collection by Clinique goes along with the pink themes as with most cosmetics brands. There are 2 brand new products in this collection: Quick Blush, a portable, all in one blush and High Impact Curling Mascara. The rest of the products just got some new shades, mostly in pinks and fuchsias.

Personally, this look by Clinique is fairly washed out, and will work well only with lighter skin tones. I still prefer Bobbi Brown’s look!
