It was hard for me to try a new eyeliner since I loved Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Eyes, my favorite waterproof eyeliners I had been using for the past year and a half (I have two shades). I couldn’t verify whether Make Up For Ever tests on animals, and after reading rave reviews about Urban Decay’s  24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil, I decided to give it a try since Urban Decay is cruelty free.

Was I glad I did. I thought Aqua Eyes glided on well, but 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil really glides! With Aqua Eyes, I could still draw a decent line, albeit having to re-fill the same line a couple of times; but with this one, it glides over powder smoothly without tugging.

I got mine in Oil Slick, which is black with silver glitter. The glitter isn’t too big but it’s a nice touch to bring attention to the eyes. It lasts all day provided that I dust a layer of loose powder over my eyelids (this works better than a primer for me). There is slight fading by the end of the day, but not enough to complain about.

The price is competitive with MUFE’s Aqua Eyes too. Because it glides on so easily, I find that I use much less of the product than with Aqua Eyes. I rarely have to sharpen them – maybe once every two weeks – whereas with Aqua Eyes, I sharpen frequently, at least once a week. This is a product you don’t need to repeatedly draw in the same area for definition. It’s so creamy and the pigment is strong, the pencil will last you a long time!

Bottom line: cruelty free, great product, lasting power, no tugging, definitely will repurchase!

thank you for the review, I will give this a try. Have you tried Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palette, I read a lot rave reviews and it had been sold out multiple times, i just got it today, haven’t tried it yet, but I thought I ask you for opinion on it. I was gonna buy Dior or Lancome eyeshadow, but I thought this would be a good bang for the buck since it has 12 shades total.

      Hi Katelyn,

Do you have the naked 2? It’s more beautiful than the 1st one in my opinion!

I think whether you would love it depends on your preference on pigmentation. I personally prefer shadows to be medium to sheer, not too pigmented, so I love this one, and I love the Smashbox Be Discovered eye palette (review scheduled to be posted in a few days). But if you are looking for great color payoff, then the naked is really naked. I like my makeup very neutral and natural so if you do, you would love it too!

Urban Decay is cruelty free so it’s another big plus over Dior or Lancome. 🙂
