I bought this from Costco for CAD$27. You might notice this is the old name White Lucency and the old packaging (the new version is now a pump bottle), but considering the new version retails at CAD$64, I was happy I got mine from Costco!

What it is:
A brightening daytime moisturizer developed with a focus on environmental stressors such as UV rays, air pollution and dryness to provide comprehensive protection. Recommended for normal to oily skin.

This powerful formula contains Multi-Target Vitamin C to reduce existing visual pigmentation inconsistencies and Super Hydro-Synergy Complex to deeply moisturize for softer, smoother skin. M-Tranexamic Acid supports natural cell turnover that retexturizes skin for a beautiful, younger-looking complexion.

The texture of this emulsion is similar to many day moisturizer that has an SPF. I personally find this slightly sticky, though once absorbed it’s not too bad. Although it is meant for normal to oily skin, it provides good moisture for my dehydrated combination skin, and it is also good as a makeup base (if you have truly oily skin, you will need a separate primer though). It doesn’t leave a white residue even though the product looks white, and gives just a slight sheen to the skin. It is lightly fragranced as is the whole White Lucent line, but it’s a very pleasant fragrance (better than Benefiance) so I did not mind it at all. It doesn’t really control sebum (you will need a primer for that) but for a day moisturizer this is a good product.

I have been using this for two months, and I did notice that my skin tone is more even, and my freckles are not as obvious. For the Costco price, you cannot go wrong with this! But if you buy this at full price, I am not sure if it’s worth the splurge.

Bottom line: a good basic day moisturizer with SPF15, with minor brightening results, a steal at Costco price.
