I have been using Origins A Perfect World™ SPF 25 for two months, and I have to say, this is the most pleasant sunscreen I have ever used!

A Perfect World is an age defense line from Origins with White Tea, a strong antioxidant. I have used A Perfect World line of products before, and love that orange-bergamot scent. I love everything Origins stands for and have been a fan for the past few years. Even though in Canada we end up paying more for the same things despite our dollar’s parity with US dollars, I still faithfully purchase Origins products in Canada.

This is an oil-free, beige-tinted cream, though the color doesn’t really show up on your skin (it has little pigment). Because it is a sunscreen, it has no listed ingredients, but I had asked a customer service rep and found out the active ingredients of this product:
Octisalate 5.0%
Avobenzone 3.0%
Octocrylene 2.70%

Not my ideal mineral sunscreen, but at least it doesn’t contain Oxybenzone, one of the worst nasties you find even in baby and children’s sunscreens. My sensitive skin had no problem with this product at all. Despite it being oil-free, because it is a sunscreen, it isn’t a mattifying product like I expected that it would be. On my dry skin, this isn’t a stand alone product – I still needed an essence or a light moisturizer underneath, but if you have oilier skin, this is your one step moisturizer/sunscreen. I would prefer a slightly higher SPF (at least SPF30) though.

The product contains no parabens or mineral oil. I love this, but the price is a little steep. I discovered that The Body Shop has an SPF30 moisturizer under the Vitamin C line with the same chemical sunscreens going for CAD$18.00, more than half of what I paid for A Perfect World SPF25, so that will likely be my next sunscreen purchase.

For now, I still enjoy A Perfect World SPF25.
