Product Review: Origins A Perfect World Antioxidant cleanser with White Tea
I got this as part of a bonus gift with purchase many months ago. I am completely in love with the scent of A Perfect World and have used the moisturizer with SPF25, as well as the serum, but this is the first time I have tried the cleanser.
This comes in 2 sizes – 50ml and 150ml, US$10 and US$21.00 respectively. The one I have here is 30ml, so it’s a bit under US$10 in terms of market value. It’s a gel based cleanser with a little bit of granules in it, for a little bit of exfoliation I suppose, though I don’t find it to be exfoliating. And even though it claims to be a foaming cleanser, this is very low foaming, despite the SLS in it. Yes, SLS! I hate it when a product, especially when it’s not a drug store level product, contains SLS. It’s such a cheap ingredient and I had expected better from Origins.
Though the scent is lovely, and the cleanser feels nice, I don’t think the price is justified. I much prefer Checks and Balances face wash actually. After washing, if you want that squeaky clean feeling, you won’t have that with this cleanser. It feels a little slimy, even on my thirsty skin. It’s not a bad thing but if you have oilier skin you may want to use Checks and Balances instead.
Will I purchase the full size? Not likely. My favourite cleanser from Origins remains Checks and Balances.
