Product Review: Kanebo Freshel MoistLift EX Moisture Milk

Kanebo Freshel Moist Lift EX Moisture Milk
Kanebo Freshel Moist Lift EX Moisture Milk

Currently, I am using the Freshel MoistLift EX Moisture Milk by Kanebo. Freshel is a very popular brand by Kanebo – and within Freshel there are two lines – Freshel White C, a whitening line, and Freshel Moist Lift, a moisturizing line for women in their early 30s.

The Freshel MoistLift Ex Moisture Milk is for dry skin. It contains collagen, amino acids, silk protein extract and sodium hyaluronate which will provide long lasting moisture to dry and dehydrated skin.

The texture is surprisingly fluid – inside the beautiful frosted glass bottle, the product pours out very easily (for those who complain about Laneige’s emulsions being hard to pour out, this is not the case here). It has no fragrance and I actually really love the feel of it on my skin – it is very hydrating but feel very light. It does a great job hydrating my dehydrated dry sensitive skin. I usually use this under a night cream at night and sunscreen during the day.

I have always felt that the cheaper lines by major Japanese brands such as Shiseido, Kanebo and Kose are very high quality and better than most mid to high range western brands, and this product reinforces my belief. This product retails around US$11.00 for 120ml, but it works so much better than many expensive moisturizers I have used!

If you live in California, you can find most of these cheaper line products by Kanebo, Kose, Sana, etc. at the local Japanese grocery stores.

    Hi Cindy,

I have a 17 month old so I know how tough it is to find time for yourself! I usually use stuff that takes the least amount of time – like sleeping packs. I am more inclined to recommend Kanebo over Isa Knox solely because Isa Knox is heavily fragranced. Kanebo has different lines too, so it really depends on what you need. If you no longer have acne, you can try Kanebo’s Freshel MoistLift line, it is very good and moisturizing (choose the version for dry skin).

Just to warn you, most of the Korean products have very strong fragrance. I have used most of those brands and because I have sensitive skin and sensitive towards strong smell, I don’t use them anymore, except Sulwhasoo.

You may want to try the sleeping packs – Kanebo has one (Freshel White C Night Essence) you wear as the last step of your skin care regimen before bed, it is a treatment mask and it works very well for me, and my skin looks much brighter (needed it because of lack of sleep – new moms would know!) in the morning! 🙂

    Dear Julia,

Prices of imported products will differ from country to country, that’s just the way it is and the pricing depends on the sellers.

      Dear yee,

I used Kanebo Freshel White C and MoistLift EX moisture milk a long time ago…the Moistlift line is for 30+ age group, Freshel White C I believe is for all ages. You can mix and match depending on what you like, but if you want whitening, I personally find it much more synergistic to use the entire line – you see more results that way.

Nowadays I am using Korean skincare, I was using The History of Whoo Gongjinhyang: Seol for a month, this month I am using su:m37 WaterFull during the day and White Award at night. The whitening from Seol line is amazing!

    Dear Joseibi,
Would you please please provide me with a list of ingredients? I’m wondering if it has parabens. I’m very interested in this product, yet I’m only 23 years old. Do you think this one is suitable for me or would you recommend another moisturizer? Thanks so much in advance for your time and your response

      Falanie,

I don’t have the list of ingredients but I am certain it contains parabens from what I remember. The MoistLift series is meant for 30+ age group so you may be too young for it. You can always try Sofina Jenne line which is for 20+ age group.
