Product Review: Biotherm Blue Therapy Serum

Biotherm Blue Therapy Serum
Biotherm Blue Therapy Serum

I got a deluxe sample of this (7ml) when I bought the Aqua Source Deep Hydrating Serum. The claims are quite extensive, but I must say, I was quite impressed after using it for 2 weeks.

What it claims to do:

REPAIR VISIBLE SIGNS OF AGING WRINKLES, DARK SPOTS, FIRMNESS

From the official description:

Did you know that only 20% of signs of aging are inevitable? The other 80% can be visibly reduced. Now, you can reduce the look of up to 8 years of accumulated skin damage in just 4 weeks.

I came off using L’Occitane’s Immortelle Brightening Concentrate, which is an oil that is very greasy. I didn’t like how sticky it made my skin feel, and also, it gave me a few bumps (as in clogged pores) every time I use it. It had no silicone which is why the oil felt very greasy and doesn’t absorb well. So when I tried Blue Therapy Serum, I was impressed by how quickly it absorbs into the skin and it’s not just because of the silicone – it really does sink in and my skin looks instantly better, the way that silicone primers don’t.

Does it really repair all these damages from aging though? It’s hard to tell, because I only used it for 2 weeks. You literally only need 2 drops each time so a 7ml bottle can stretch out to 2 weeks, which I did. But of course that’s not really long enough to see results. However, during the 2 weeks I was on this, my skin tone was more clarified, pores tighter, and the texture was smoother and softer. I could see it and feel it.

The full size (available in 30ml and 50ml) bottles in 30ml retails at CAD$65 so this isn’t cheap. However, when it comes as a bonus, it’s a really good deal and way to try it out. Clinique’s Repairwear Laser Focus Serum is a similar product with the same claims, but cheaper than this one, and if I were to compare the two I think Biotherm works a bit better.
