Product Review: Biore SARA SARA UV Perfect Face Milk SPF50+ PA+++

Biore SARA SARA UV Perfect Face Milk
Biore SARA SARA UV Perfect Face Milk, 30ml, US$11.50 at Adambeauty.com

I had been using this for months, but somehow forgot to write a review!

In the summer, my skin usually gets a little oily, so I researched on a sunscreen that doesn’t feel oily and also suppresses sebum. I got this from my go-to beauty store, Adambeauty.com, for less than US$14 ($11.50 plus $2 registered mail fee), and right now it is already mid-November and I still have half a bottle left!

This is a high protection, broad spectrum, waterproof, sweatproof, fragrance free and non whitening sunscreen. It pretty much covers everything I want in a sunscreen! Anyway, many products claim to be this and that, but this one really does measure up.

First of all, this is not mattifying as in making your skin dry, taut and uncomfortable like some of the bi-phase (this requires shaking before use) runny sunscreens do (think Neutrogena…). It is a light, milky emulsion that spreads very easy. It’s not thin, but feels like a regular lotion, except once it goes on your skin it creates a somewhat silicone-like feel to your skin without the gunky, unbreatheable feeling. Hard to describe, but this actually works just as great as a makeup primer, especially if you happen to have combination or oily skin. It does not create a white cast on the skin, by the way. Makeup and whatever else you put on will adhere pretty well on it, and it does control sebum pretty much most of the day for my dehydrated combo skin.

As for sweatproof and waterproof claims, this holds up well also. I had run this under the hot shower and it doesn’t become white like a lot of the waterproof sunscreens tend to do. I had gone under the sun during the summer with this under concealer and powder, and it really did stay put, helping my makeup stay put as well.

Another great thing is that there is no scent or even unpleasant chemical scent to this. Sometimes a fragrance free product can still smell like something, but this one has no smell at all, so it doesn’t bother me.

All for less than US$14! And with 30ml, it lasts longer than our Canadian summer.
