Product Review: First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads

First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads, 60 pads, US$28
First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads, 60 pads, US$28

I was previously using Origins Brighter By Nature High Potency Brightening Peel Pads and Philosophy The Microdelivery Mini Peel Pads, both of which were almost CAD$50 each, and was I glad when I discovered First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads, 60 counts, at US$28/CAD$35! I have realized that I don’t really need a daily AHA treatment, which will further thin out my sensitive, fragile skin, so a weekly mild exfoliating peel will do.

I have been using these pads for 2 months now, mostly once a week but sometimes twice a week. These are alcohol free if you are concerned about the stinging/burning sensation some of these peel pads may do to your skin, especially if you have sensitive skin like mine; even though most of the time my skin rather reacted to the acid in the pads, not just the alcohol.

For 60 counts, this is a steal. The official description is as follows (as per Sephora):

These Facial Radiance Pads contain just the right amount of lactic and glycolic acids to make them safe and effective for daily use, even for people with reactive skin. Cucumber and Indian gooseberry tone the face, while lemon peel and licorice root leave the skin bright and glowing. First Aid Beauty’s facial radiance pads are free of harsh chemicals and colorants.

I do experience a very slight tingling sensation when I use it, but it doesn’t irritate my skin otherwise, nor does it linger. I find this to be just as effective as Philosophy’s or Origins’ peel pads but a bit milder than Origins. When I get close to that time of the month, I would use this for 3 days straight, at night, and it will completely prevent any hormonal (mild) acne. My skin stays completely clear using this once a week otherwise, and my complexion is radiant, clear and soft, requiring no foundation/makeup. I love this and will definitely repurchase!
