News: Sofina Jenne Now available on!

Just a quick note to tell anyone who’s interested in Sofina’s Jenne line (for women in their 20s), that carries it now. Previously, the only other place I know that sells it is

hi joseibi! devoted long-time reader here 🙂 I love all your reviews and sound advice – it’s like having a wise unni to guide me out of my horrific skin episodes/mis-experiments! I was wondering if you could give a bit of input… I use Shiseido’s Pureness gel-cream in the spring/summer, but have been wondering if the Sofina Jenne gel-cream would be better since it has ceramides? (I’m in my mid-20s, combo/normal skin) thanks so much!

      Dear loveskincare,

thank you so much!!!! Sometimes I wonder if people actually read my stuff! 😀 LOL

If you have normal to combination skin, Jenne will be a lot better for you. Shiseido’s Pureness line is mostly for oily skin and won’t be hydrating enough once you reach your mid-20s. Another good product is Laneige’s Water Bank Hydro Gel, it’s more hydrating than Pureness Gel Cream, but possibly pricier. You can also use Laneige’s Water Sleeping Pack on top, it replenishes moisture in your skin really well without feeling greasy.

      Hope this helps! 🙂

thanks so much for your reply, joseibi! you’ll always have a loyal reader in me 🙂 I’ve learned so much from your skin care tips! I’ll definitely pick up a Jenne jelly moisturizer soon. I’m currently using Shiseido’s the Skincare night recharge moisturizer and it’s perfect for fall/winter, but it’ll probably be too heavy come spring/summer. the Pureness gel cream was definitely not enough when September came around! I live in southern CA, so it’s definitely dry here! I’ve used Laneige’s water bank essence before, and while it made my skin plump and moist, it gave me tiny little bumps (not millia), so I had to stop using it :/ I definitely want to try other Korean skin care though, any tips?

      Dear loveskincare,

Thank you! 🙂 Oh, it’s too bad you reacted to Laneige. Some people do…as far as other Korean skincare goes, for the same kind of item, The History of Whoo has Soo Yeon essence and cream, they are waterbased and not greasy. They aren’t hydrating enough for me but if you have combo/oily skin you will do fine with Soo Yeon. They are more expensive than Laneige though. If you are concerned about a possible reaction, many ebayers such as kgoodshop(I have purchased from him and he is great!) sell samples for very little money. It’s a great way to try out a product.

Sofina Jenne’s moisturizer should work well for you, as far as I know there is no artificial color or fragrance in most Sofina skincare so hopefully no reaction!! 🙂
