A brand I have almost forgotten but have liked in the past is Mario Badescu, quite loved by some big-name celebs such as Liv Tyler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Naomi Campbell. Mario Badescu products don’t use too many of the fillers like many mass market brands, which is a major selling point. I have used quite a few Mario Badescu products back when I had frequently red skin (my skin is sensitive, dry and dehydrated) and had good results with them.

The latest Mario Badescu invention is Vitamin C Serum. It contains 7.5% Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) to reduce discoloration and brighten skin, and formulated with Hyaluronic Acid to retain skin’s natural moisture and Collagen to enhance skin’s firmness and elasticity.

At first glance, this looks very much like HABA’s Fair Lady (or White Lady as released in Asia) – except that HABA’s contains a bit less (6%) vitamin C. Haba’s costs US$39 for the same amount, but as much as I love Haba products, Fair Lady didn’t moisturize my dry skin enough, as it is probably better for oilier skin types. MB’s new serum has hyaluronic acid so it is quite promising!

Here is the ingredient list: Propylene Glycol,Ascorbic Acid,Cucumber (Cucumis Sativus Fruit) Extract,Ginseng (Panax Ginseng Root) Extract, Aloe Vera Gel, Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid, Lavender Oil.

Available online at mariobadescu.com. (Their customer service is very very nice by the way)
