There was a time when I didn’t think there is much difference between a $5 mascara and a $30 mascara.  However, after using Lancome’s Hypnose, I am a changed woman!

I have tried almost every brand, every make of mascaras from Japanese, Korean to French brands ranging from $9.99 to $29.99, but none so far can compare to Hypnose. Its staying power is long (no smudging from 6am to 10pm), does not flake, lengthens and volumizes my lashes in just one application. Its curling power is also quite impressive, although I am a firm believer in eyelash curlers, I believe one can actually skip a step and still achieve beautiful, long, curled and thick lashes!

What impresses me the most is that you don’t even need a mascara base with this product and can still achieve a false lash effect. Even though I am an allergy sufferer, the product did not cause any reaction and didn’t smudge even with some occasional tears. Considering this isn’t waterproof, I thought that was an achievement on its own.

Currently this product sells for Cdn $29.00 in most Canadian department stores, and also comes in trial sizes in various gift with purchases.

I definitely agree with you. I have Hypnose myself, and I am impressed how long this mascara works. I have a tendency of rubbing my eye forgetting the fact I have make-up on, but the product does not come off on my hand. Also, it’s curling effects are phenomenal. Though it is considered a high-end mascara, its definitely recommended.

Thank you! Kmarket, I too rub my eyes often, forgetting I have makeup on, and the same with me, this doesn’t rub off or flake off!

I was wondering how Virtuose compares to Hynose?

In my opinion, they would do the same effect. I think it is based on customer preference regarding the mascara wand and what the consumer wants to achieve. I believe it doesn’t matter which one you pick, you’ll always be satisfied at the end.
