Japonesque® Professional Makeup Supplies

Paula Forberg Beritzhoff founded the company in 1984 after a 3-year stay in Tokyo, where she attended graduate school, worked as a researcher in the field of international business, and modeled professionally. While modeling, she discovered a variety of unique makeup accessories and tools. Many of these products were originally developed for Kabuki theater, but had become commonly used by Japanese makeup artists working in film, television and fashion. With her experience in international trade and knowledge of the Japanese language, Ms. Beritzhoff returned to the U.S. to establish what would become one of the most well-known businesses of its kind.
