Japanese beauty products have always set the trend for the world and they show no signs of waning. I love the innovative designs, versatility and quality of the products. Each season, they always come up with a few that you just can’t live without.

Take Shiseido’s Integrate Double Eye Liners for example. Both shades are fool proof (sweat and sebum proof too) to brighten and perfectly define your eyes. The Integrate website is one of the best by the way, when you click on each shade of each product, it shows you what it will look like on a real person. The Double Eye Liners are less than US$20.00 each, which is a steal since you are getting a great product and Shiseido quality!

If you never had problems with makeup creasing, caking or smearing off your eyelids, then this isn’t a must-have for you. But for a lot of us, our dry or oily lids tend to make it easy for eyeshadows and liners to make their way down to our lower rims (or worse, somewhere else). A quick search for eyeshadow base didn’t return too many matches, so Kanebo’s Coffret D’Or is smart to make this one, and in two shades (about US$19 each). I had previously used and loved Shiseido’s discontinued PN (predecessor of Maquillage) eye makeup base, and now, I hope and pray that Coffret D’Or is here to stay!

I have never used a more versatile eyeshadow compact than Shiseido Maquillage’s Eyes Creator. Each season it just gets better and better! There are 3 eyeshadows, a cream highlighting base and cream liner in one beautiful compact. It has so many different combinations of perfectly coordinated shades – in neutrals, purples, pinks, blues, greys and greens. For US$42 (suggested retail price in Japan), this is a small price to pay for the satisfaction (and compliments) you will get. Based on the sheer popularity of Maquillage, I am confident that it will be around for a long, long time!
