Summer revenue from the blog took such a nosedive, I had to tighten my belt and cut back on my spending. That means more drug store goodies! :) Well, I am partial to Maybelline since its liners and mascaras are long wearing and comparable to department store equivalents. This time, I want to do a side-by-side comparison between Maybelline and Dior just to show you that the extra bucks sometimes don’t really mean a thing when it comes to mascaras.

I had LAHA Caviar Skin and Emulsion samples enough for more than one month’s use and I must say they are a great fit for my dry/dehydrated skin. I tried to look up LAHA but even on the Isa Knox’s official Korean site this was hard to find (didn’t find it!) so unfortunately there isn’t much info I can share with you, except that LAHA is a luxury line from Isa Knox using very expensive ingredients such as caviar in the products.

Lately, I had been pleasantly surprised with Isa Knox products! It’s good that I still have a few samples from my reserves because the revenue from advertising for joseibi.com is very low in the summer, meaning I can’t afford to buy new things to try at the moment. I had a large batch of samples from royalbeautycosmetics.com from last year and even though I wanted to save most of these for fall/winter, I found that my skin had become quite dehydrated and dry due to air conditioning and the sun. I thought that the LAHA line would be too rich for me, but I am happy to report that this is one of my newly discovered gems!
