As you could probably imagine, my addiction to good skincare products means that I have to cut corners elsewhere – and that usually means makeup. I don’t normally wear foundation or powders; but lately, the lack of sleep had caught up to me, and I needed something with coverage to hide the dark circles under my eyes. The Skinfood Salmon Dark Circle Powder still works great, if you are wondering; it’s just that to even out the bright yellow powder so it doesn’t look like two white streaks under my eyes, I needed to use a pigmented powder to do a full-over. All for those darned dark circles!

From Kev Jang: This is another backlog from last year, which I have yet to clear for reviews. I used this Sansim Gyeong Yoon Massage Pack in conjunction with the Yang Myeong Soo and Yang Myeong Aek(emulsion) and it is another staple of the Hankook cosmetics’ Sansim brand, which touts wild mountain ginseng of 110 years as its selling point. I like this brand, but it’s rather hard to get even in Korea, and sold mostly online, owing to the company profile.

Even though I had sold many Isa Knox products, I hadn’t tried any of them until very recently. They were all generously included in my royalbeautycosmetics.com order from last November. I finally got around to trying the Wrinkle Decline Double Effect Wrinkle Serum RF3. I was concerned that any wrinkle treatment product may feel a little too rich at this time of the year, but this proved me wrong – and in a very good way!

Fresh off Skinfood’s press: Skinfood.ca has now changed to Momomango.com! It will be adding other Korean brands. The name change enables Momomango to carry brands other than Skinfood so be sure to write to them and tell them which brand or product you would like to see there.

Do you buy a product because of Lee Hyori? Song Hye Kyo? Rinka? Or do you buy a cream because of its ingredients?

I had tried the original version of this product years ago, when I was still in my 20s, before I discovered all the Korean and Japanese goodies. Back then, I used the green one for normal/combination skin; and since it is summer now, I chose the green version again, just for the hydration. I was aware that this has no anti-aging properties, but for my very dehydrated skin, I could really use some long lasting hydration to last throughout the day.

As referred to under my Skinfood Salmon Dark Circle Powder, I had been using this cheap roller (my first eye roller experience!) for the past few weeks. I was always curious about these rollers, and at this price, what I can say except an affordable way to try a new gadget?

From Guest Reviewer Hamie Lin: The next one that I also recommend is Ohui age recovery cell-lab ringer. It is for anti-wrinkles and hydration as well as refining the skin texture. I really love the packing. It treats all skin types.

I have always wanted to try some of these Japanese beauty supplements. In the past, I had tried Fancl’s Tense Up, a collagen drink, which is very pricey; I had also tried some of DHC’s various supplements too. But what I really need is something to fight the lines. This was popping up everywhere I looked – online and stores here – so for Mother’s Day, I put this on my wish list and my husband bought it for me as a gift. After all the sleep deprivation and taking care of a very spirited 3 year old, I need all the help I can get – inside and out – to turn back the clock.

I almost rarely purchase drug store brands (except the occasional makeup and my desperate Vichy purchase), and after I bought this Dove body wash, I probably won’t do that again.

I have sensitive skin. The skin on my body is actually more sensitive than my face; it reacts to a variety of ingredients including certain fragrances and perfumes (though not all – it depends on the brand). There were times when I broke out in hives after using a new soap or body lotion with added fragrance, so I have largely stuck with unscented products.

This is my very first SkinFood product! I had read enough great reviews about this Salmon Dark Circle line, which consists of the dark circle powder, concealer cream, eye cream, serum, massage serum and eye patch. I was particularly surprised to know that in the beginning, someone was selling this for more than US$60 on eBay, and one reviewer actually bought it at that price! (There is still one seller selling this on eBay for an arm and a leg from the US!)
