The last product in the Water-Full series by Su:m37 I tried was the Perfect Relief Eye Cream. When I was using the rest of the Water Full products, I was using Babor Sensational Eyes Eye Cream, which I found thoroughly average and honestly, very bland. I usually find most eye creams either a hit or miss, so when something really works, I can really feel it.

With the seasonal changes, I find my eyes very itchy, dry and the skin around the eye contour started to peel, especially since I also use retinol products at night. So lately, my eyes are just unbearable. My Babor eye cream wasn’t doing it for me (it wasn’t doing much at all actually), so I decided to open the Su:m37 Water-Full Perfect Relief Eye cream sample packets. I have enough to last more than a month and a half in samples, by the way, and I have been using it for this long now.

Though there are only 2 items from Dr. Jart+ available at Sephora, it is an encouraging sign. Hopefully Sephora will get more and more Korean and Japanese brands!!

This is the second product in OHUI’s The First series that I have tried. I have this in a deluxe 10ml sample jar, which lasted me 3 weeks when used nightly.

As you all know I am partial to Japanese makeup and the late and great Shu Uemura is one of my inspirations, and while I generally don’t review accessories very often, I felt compelled to review this one.

God knows I adore Lancome’s mascaras, but when it comes to skincare, I had yet to have any success with any of the Lancome products. If we complain about the strong perfume scents from Korean skincare, wait till you try Lancome’s skincare! Even if some of the more basic items like cleansers aren’t half bad, the fragrance is way too pungent for me to like using them. And I normally don’t mind having a little nice smell to my cleansers (just not anything that’s supposed to stay on my skin).

For a long time, when I used to sell Amore products here, I had always wanted to try HERA. I never had it in stock and opted to have my supplier ship directly to my customers, and I rarely (almost never actually) got any orders for HERA, either because my price was too high or it just wasn’t well known overseas at that time. My customers knew Laneige, Sulwhasoo, to a lesser extent, Iope and Mamonde, but they didn’t seem to know HERA. Ironically, it’s not until now that I got to try some of the HERA products, 4+ years after I discontinued my online store!

A long time ago, I had a 10ml sample tube of this expensive serum from Sephora. I tried it and liked it enough to purchase the full size. The version I tried was the last version, by the way, the latest version is ‘concentrated’ now but the price is the same.

It is a pricey serum, but it claims to tighten pores, soften lines and wrinkles, and correct dark spots. It is so expensive that I husband every drop of it and used it only where it’s needed – my forehead (I have fine lines there), freckles on my cheeks (the few leftovers after The History of Whoo’s Seol line blasted most of them off my face) and around the outer eye areas. So, 1 oz. of this actually lasted me about 4 months, much longer than I expected. It is also the only product I waited 4 months before doing a review.

While I am not generally a fan of Clinique, this was highly rated everywhere (e.g. makeupalley.com), so I gave it a try.

My lips are chronically dry, not peeling but lined from dryness. This claims to repair the look of wrinkles on and around lips besides hydration, so despite the rather steep price for a lip balm, I went for it.

There are quite a few Origins products that I really like, and even though I am mostly a Korean and Japanese skincare user, I still occasionally commit to full size western brand products. What I like about Origins is the ingredients – I am not too picky about them being strictly organic, but I do prefer few to no petrochemicals or unnecessary chemical fillers.

Well, years later, I finally got around to trying it. I bought the Tsubaki Head Spa Shampoo in the large size (I have that much faith in it!). According to the descriptions, this doesn’t only cleanse, repair, moisturize and strengthen the hair shafts, it also conditions and protects the scalp. I have sensitive scalp so the promise of the soothing and hydrating camellia oil to condition my scalp sounds very attractive.

And it didn’t disappoint. I was already very impressed when I made my first pump. The moment the shampoo poured into my palm, I already went, ‘wow’. It’s not easy to describe but the closest thing is that it’s like a serum which lathers very well. It didn’t even feel the slightest bit heavy like most shampoos are – it’s airy and even though it was like an oil-based serum, it wasn’t thick, greasy or gooey. It was just all-round pleasant.

Dear Readers,
My apologies for the site being down on and off since Friday night! I was very unhappy with the old server/webhost and just moved the entire blog to a new server and everything is a million times faster now! Even the forum takes no time to load.
