Find out how you can protect and keep your eye areas in good shape with these important eye tips:

1. Tweezing

For most people this may not be a big deal, but some of us have very sensitive skin and the simple act of tweezing can actually leave stinging redness that lasts a little too long to our liking. Not all tweezers are equal, so you need to find one that will pick up hair with relative ease, without having to poke deep in the skin to pluck out the hair by its follicle. If tweezing is often painful for you, you can put Anbesol (an oral gel to numb the gums for teething pain) where you are going to pluck to reduce the pain and sting. Be careful not to use it too close to the eyeballs though.

A few days before your period is the skin’s most vulnerable time. It is extra fussy so tweezing, waxing, etc. should be avoided until after your period.

This Primavista Essence Concealer has only one shade, but it will magically adjust to your skin shade upon application. I was a little cautious at first, but it really does what it promises to do! I was pleasant surprised that it melted into my fragile, dry undereye areas without a trace, and somehow hid the evidence of sleepless nights. It blends right in and matches my skin color. It also contains anti-wrinkle, hydrating and firming essence, which is a great bonus. It has a creamy, non oily texture, stays all day without fading, and does not cake or crease. All this, and it’s fragrance free, and comes with SPF15 PA++. When my friends saw me and questioned whether I was really sick because I didn’t look sick, I knew this product is a keeper!

There are reports in Taiwan that a certain IPKN (Independent Professional Korea New Yorker) BB Cream contains fluorescent dyes, or optical brightener. A consumer filed a complaint saying that under dimmed lights (at pubs, nightclubs, etc.) her face appeared blue when she was wearing the IPKN BB cream. So far, separate tests by two inspection agencies and a university professor showed traces of optical brightener and now the officials at the DOH (Department of Health) will conduct tests on not just this particular BB cream, but on gathered samples of other BB creams to determine whether any of them contains fluorescent dyes.
